One day, there was a guy and a gal who fell in love with God and eachother. They decided to get married and have some children. This is their story.

Prayers is in Heaven
On 11/11 of this year, our little Prayers (cat) went to meet Jesus. After rescuing her from our old church, we took her in and cared for her... After finding her a temporary mother, another kitten to grow up with (Patches, who later ran away), lived in my parents house, and then traveled over to Richmond Texas to live with us. After only 7 weeks of living in our brand new home, she too ran away for almost 2 years.
Then last year in August, little Prayers returned to us! Somehow, she found her way back to our garage (away from the coyotes that howl behind our house).... and spent her last year with us and the kids. Joshua & Eliana loved playing with her everyday. Prayers let Joshua torture her by picking her up and carrying her around. The first thing our kids would do was look for her as soon as the garage door opened. Those were some great memories. We will miss her dearly, but we're thanking God for bringing her back after we thought she had been eaten by a wild animal or starved to death 2 yrs ago.
Chong & I are busy with the kids, playing, feeding, and teaching... The best part of our lives now is knowing that Joshua & Eliana will one day (hopefully) remember how to love God and love one another. But in the meantime, it's "No Joshua, don't push your sister", and "No Eliana, don't take Joshua's toys"... and of course "Share!". We are loving our hectic schedules, sleepless nights and thinning patience... God is so Great.... We have babysitters for date nights! =)

Fall is Here
We made it through the hottest months of summer, and we've spent lots of time in the water. Swimming at Stephanie's house, our neighborhood pool, Palm Beach in Galveston and of course the good ol' sprinkler! We've gone to the Children's Museum, Zoo, Hermann Park and our fancy McDonalds playgym rocks!!! It's been a pretty busy summer and luckily Chong had the entire summer off (1st time in a decade or more) and I started a new job (whohoo) and we have watched our 2 little busy bees grow so fast! And now, we're struggling to catch up with them!
Currently, Joshua talks and mimics almost everything he hears, still obsessed with cars, planes & trains... Eliana on the other hand still isn't speaking a lot- she just loves being held and points to things she wants or sees. This little monkey also started climbing everything!!!! Including a fan that she thought was a stool *LOL! We also enjoy watching these 2 adjust to one another, aka: Joshua bullies and Eliana just learned how to pinch. For the most part, they play side by side. Joshua goes to school 2 days/wk at a nearby church and we try to go regularly for story-time once a week.
Today, we purchased a not so cheap children's slide from IKEA. They LOVE it!!! With the winter approaching (along with the Flu season), we've turned our home into their own play-yard. It's great! Between the billions of toys, new barbecue set, playdough, and coloring, they're keeping themselves quite busy.
We plan on going camping in October and possibly a small trip to Austin at the end of Chong's semester. I'm hoping we can do both, that will be so much fun!

Our Mid-Summer's Update
Chong, Helen & Joshua went to Phoenix to visit our good friends Justin & Nadia (Chong's ex-Target buddy) & drove to the Grand Canyon late May. What an adventure *more pics on C.'sFacebook* The Grand Canyon was absolutely breath-taking! So much so that I had trouble falling asleep the 1st night because I kept waking up thinking I was falling off a steep cliff!! God is so amazing, in all His splendor, He created a big hole in the ground just for us to enjoy. Of course not just any hole, a masterpiece of chunks of rock that date back to over a million years old! We also went to the Musical Instrument Museum where Justin works. It was so educational, inspiring and fun! Joshua loved the children's musical instrument playroom. Luckily, there weren't other kids there... he would not have been able to "share", there was just too much stuff to play with!
Joshua was most excited when he rode the airplane for the 1st time. This boy is in love with planes, (plus cars, trains, wait-- just about everything!) We've got lots of videos of the trip so you can check it out on C's YouTube! It was awesome taking him on our trip! He was such a good boy so we gave him ice cream.
Eliana turned 1 on June 5! We celebrated with the Korean tradition of wearing Hambok and eating an assortment of Chinese-Korean cuisines! Eliana is such a great baby, and it's sad to know she's already a "toddler", walking & being Miss Independent. At the same time, she's getting bullied by her big brother who thinks it's ok to hit and knock her down whenever he wants! Boys will be boys...
We have made a couple trips to Palm Beach (Moody Gardens) and to the zoo. We have been enjoying every moment with the kids, watching them grow and interact with us. They make us laugh constantly, but there are days we can't wait for nap time too! Helen is getting a new job in the ER (closer to home) and is so excited about switching to better hours, night shift has really drained her but icecream and coffee always does the trick. Lastly, great news in the family: Judy, Helen's younger cousin is expecting! Yea! More kiddos to play together similar to us when we were young :)

Welcome Aboard
Hello Friends & Family! This is a webpage to keep everyone we love posted about what's going on in our busy lives. We felt this is one of the best ways to stay close while not being in touch for weeks or months on end. We hope you will enjoy this as much as we love sitting at a computer (which usually means, quietness & away from the kiddos). Chong is in school, Helen's still at Hermann, Joshua is still keeping us VERY busy (an understatement), and Eliana is an angel. Oh, and Gracie (dog) is still a good guard dog (at times).
Coming up is Eliana's 1st BIRTHDAY!!! June 5th! I know, a whole year has gone by. Seems like yesterday she was born?! And for many of you, you might say, wait... another kid? I had no idea you had another?!
Just recently, we enjoyed the beach together as a family, and this weekend is a very special holiday: Chong & Helen's 6-year wedding anniversary PLUS Mother's Day! We're celebrating it as a combo so we're taking the kids, plus niece and nephew, Helen's sister Esther and Chong's bestman Jang & his daughter to Palm Springs Waterpark in Galveston TX.
Another cool thing, Chong just started his own online-radio... check it out! http://deeztx.listen2myradio.com/
And for those of you interested in seeing more pics, visit Chong's Facebook page.
Keep you all posted! Have a great week!
